Hollywood has never been "homophobic." They are "box office bomb phobic;" therefore, they used to keep hidden facts about key actors. But Hollywood has always been a gay mecca. My husband worked there in the 70's. The gays were open, aggressive, promiscuous, and offensive. It didn't take him long to get sick of it.

That's Andrew Sullivan's opinion, not mine. We all know that Hollywood is not homophobic. It's just A. Sullivan's way of convincing himself that all of this "gay gushing" is a recent and positive occurrence. How else could he see it?
