LOL. You know what they say: "Going to war without the French is like deerhunting without an accordian."

lol Well I was going to mention that my blog entry is up, but clearly that's been noticed. Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate it! I'm trying to convince the images to work properly, but this is a constant source of headache for me.

Webshots.com won't allow anything but linking to their pages. When I have some time, I will put up some of the photos on my homepage; but be forewarned... like most conservatives, I don't have much free time. Way too many people and lefty groups need FReeping in DC. We call it "a target-rich environment." Then there's the job, the kids...

In today's
Washington Times:
Students protest French stance on Iraq . They got some press!
The students stood on Reservoir Road NW in Georgetown holding flags and signs that read "Appeasement Protects Saddam" and "We tried this with Hitler."

Slightly more than a dozen showed up. Hi, Ligeia. It looks like Jabeen Bhatti of the WT got the numbers wrong; maybe the reporter used to wotk for the Post?
Dear Jabeen... take a look at the photos I've linked. I think 35 (from my late-in-the-event photos) rates a better description than slightly more than a dozen.

When will I again drink beaujolais? As the Spanish say: El dia que la rana tenga pelo (the day the frog grows hair).

Beaujolais? Heck, I have to quick drinking Grand Marnier! What's a good non-surrender-monkey alternative?

a member of Georgetown University Peace ActionI checked my school's student newspaper, apparently the WWP has cells on universities throughout the US organized under Progressive Student Alliance. Do a google search.

"It is important not to alienate ourselves from Europe more than we already have," said Patricia Stumpf, 21, a student at Georgetown and a member of Georgetown University Peace Action. "These [pro-war] protesters are protesting France's right to have a different opinion. That isn't what this country is about."
I LOVE THIS QUOTE from that Washington Times peace! LOL. In the view of Ms. Patricia Stumpf, what is this country all about? Marching in lock-step with France? She's saying the protestors were protesting France having its own position? LOL.
Ms. Stumpf's declarations place here in Category 1: DemocRATs who actually know they're lying. LOL. Sheesh.

Bravo Zulu College Republicans and DC FReepers! Sounds like you had a great FReepin experience!
Sorry I could not join -- duty called, as you all know, I am constitutionally unable to refuse an opportunity to further the cause of the National Retail Sales Tax.
Loved the picutures! It is apparent that there are those in the younger generation who are alive and well, believe in America and are willing to put some of their time, talent and treasure behind their beliefs.
A Taxman ATTABOY to all who stood for us yesterday!
And a Taxman AWSHUCKS to the WA Times reporter who cannot count!

Boycott France? Looking for Organizers.
I'm a business reporter at the Contra Costa Times, a Knight Ridder reporter that covers the east San Francisco Bay Area.
I'm doing a story on boycotts of French goods, and wanted to know if there are Free Republic readers out there organizing boycotts, especially in the East Bay area-- please get in touch with me.

She's saying the protestors were protesting France having its own position? Yep, I'd definitely say our students are brighter than theirs. No doubt about it.
