"... There is a real question whether we can win the race. Year One of the new era, 2002, passed rather peaceably. Year Two will not: 2003 could be as cataclysmic as 1914 or 1939..." My sentiments exactly.

HAHAHAHA........you think Clinton firing a missle into the desert and hitting a camel in the butt is good foreign policy.
BTW, welcome to FR. You won't be here long.

Man! I just got it! I mean, what is so bad about a preemptive strike against an immoral murderer who is in charge of a nation state? An immoral murderer with an army and airforce who is selling 2,000,000 barrels of oil per day for around $35 each.
This vermin needs to be irradicated and we can do it, so we should. It's as simple as that.

I missed something? What was removed? Have we been infiltrated by a "seminar caller"?

Kinda creepy too when you consider that we may in fact, according to modern tmes, be overdue for such events. Too bad, one would hope that modern people would have developed better ways to resolve differences than to adopt the ancient ritual of cracking heads according to some undisclosed schedule. Yet, it's not....
"... a lesson, too late for the learning....."

Just a typical 'Clinton was the greatest President ever, Shrub is destroying America' thing. Nothing noteworthy.

What are the odds that our species will manage to contain this awful knowledge without self-destruction -- not for a billion years or a million or even a thousand, but just through the lifetime of our children?Yep, the question is how much longer can we make it?
