I'm a professing Christian - I don't see anyone asking me where my loyalty lies.

A little more study of Jewish history might clear up that question for you.

Oh jeez, you're right. He was probably talking about anglo-saxon immigrants who have been immigrating here from England for the past few centuries. THOSE people are obviously agitating for war in support of Tony Blair and Britain. How could I have been so foolish! Thanks for correcting me.

Wait, maybe he's talking about Chinese immigrants -- that makes even more sense. I don't know why, but it's soooo obvious! If Han (ignorance is) Blix ever needs to be replaced I think you'd make a great candidate, ha ha ha.

Have a nice day.

Of course, I question the loyalty of ANYONE with dual citizenship anywhere, as I would were I a citizen of the countries with whom the citizenship is dual (pardon the syntactical nightmare of that statement, but you get my drift). I mentioned Jews specifically in my earlier post because that was the subject of the article.

I ask again...why is this unreasonable? Does hypersensitivity to the feelings of one or another group of people trump common sense? Mind you, I'm not calling for a witch hunt or a pogrom.

Nope. Hart is talking about immigrants. I'm not sure which ones: Mexicans? Arabs? Chinese?

Nice bit of misdirection, tictoc. Is it the Mexican Americans that are challenging our role in the world, right at this moment? Everybody with a small brain knows who he's talking about, except for you apparently. But dont worry, I'm sure he's said other things in the same vein; it'll all come out eventually.

Many countries its once a citizen always a citizen -- you can't renounce it. So citizens of these countries, when they become US citizens are dual-citizenship whether they or the US government likes it or not.

As a Jew, I think Hart's comments are loathesome. While I have sympathies for my fellow co-religonists in Israel, my loyalties ARE HERE! I was an Army ROTC Cadet for two years and was working toward a career in the US Army (this was cut short by health reasons, mainly a series of "Unexplained Siezures", doctor's words, not mine). I am still trying to find a way to serve, and I find these comments loathesome.

One wonders why my fellow Jews continue to vote for the Dems when they are bigger anti-semites than anything they could ever accuse the Republicans of being.

I'm not talking about religious beliefs, I'm talking about those Jews (or Canadians, or Zimbabweans, or Germans, or...) that hold dual citizenships with the US and some other countries.

"Well, since many Jews hold dual citizenships, why is not reasonable to ask where their loyalties lie?"

And your source for this information is? I have lived in Jewish communities for many years, grew up in a Jewish neigborhood and school. I don't know one American born Jew with a Israeli passport. Not one. I've never seen any data to support your bold claim.

they DO have "dual citzenship". Why?

How many American Jews do you know with dual citizenship?

What about non-Jewish Americans who hold dual citizenship with Canada, Mexico, Britain, Australia, France, India, and many other countries? There are more U.S.-Canadians than any other form of dual citizen. So why aren't you worried about them?

Mind you, I'm not calling for a witch hunt or a pogrom.

Then, how does one go around "asking" ? Should we have the media make a point of questioning loyalties, or should there be congressional hearings? Or should neighborhood groups do the "asking"? Maybe Newsweak can do a couple articles on it and local city councils can take some votes?

Sorry, sounds like a witch hunt to me.

"The Jews ate my homework."

Man, this is turning into a cliche of massive proportions.

So far, that entirely legal, and to hold to strict accounting one group (Jews)of law abiding citizens over another (say Canadians) is unAmerican and bigoted, IMO.

Oh I wouldn't single and specific group out--that IS illegal--but I think the bigger question is a valid one. WHy does the US allow dual citizenships in the first place?

Hart was probably talking about Americans with German-sounding last names, like Daschle, who side with the Germans. [/sarcasm]

Maybe Hart can choose Pat Buchanan as his running mate -- they'll lock up the Stormfront readership in a New York (a.k.a. Hymietown) minute.

See this link:

http://www.ailf.org/press/n070702a.htm

It does not address dual US-Israeli citizenship specifically - and I'm not singling them out - but dual citizenship in general.

So the bigger question: why does the US allow dual citizenship at all?
