This is so true. But the problem isn't limited to Catholics. I noticed that a lot of Southern Evangelicals think just because someone grew up in the South, and has a thick southern drawl, he must be a conservative. It is this type of thinking that give us President Bill Clinton, Sen. Mary Landrieu, and Sen. John Edwards.

I think that this was an inevitable thing.

The abortion issue will be the undoing of the Democratic Party.

Hipanics (I detest that term) are by and large, Catholics, and with very conservative ideas on abortion.

The continued dedication to the "choice" camp by the Democrats, will eventually cost them a good chunk of the Hispanic vote.

By throwing Estrada's card into the arena, the Bush team scored a major hit on the DNC's Hispanic voting block.

Hispanics are classic social and fiscal conservatives, they will come around.
