After Action Report - Central Florida takes on the Peace Weenies
self ^ | 15 February, 2003 | J. King

Posted on 02/15/2003 5:19:51 PM PST by The Right Stuff

My husband, myself and our two sons went to the "peace" rally held today in order to peacefully dissent and show support for our troops. We stood at least 10-15 feet away from the "peace" protesters in order to give space to each group. Within 10 minutes of our arrival, about 20 scrawny, pimply "peace" activists - collectively bearing more tattoos and piercings than any South Seas sailor - invaded our turf and deliberately stood in front of our signs.

When we questioned the students about our right to free speech, they were unable to reply, except to spit out soundbites about the evil, "corporate media".

Then, in a parody beyond belief, a burly and aggressive young man wearing a "no fascists" tshirt appeared holding a U.S. flag upside down. When a passer-by told him he was holding the flag upside down, he let out a stream of profanity and spit on the flag several times. His other antics with the flag convinced me that a flag-burning no doubt was in store before the end of the rally.

I hope that the "evil corporate media" will represent fairly all aspects of the "peace" protesters. Most of the ones I spotted were virulently anti-Bush, anti-American and anti-free market.

This is no surprise, as the head group behind HCATW is ANSWER, an IAC sponsored group affiliated with the World Workers Party - a Marxist, Leninist front group. Just visiting their website was an eye opener for me, and it tells volumes about the true motives of the "peace" movement.

America is not a perfect country, but no country is - and for my money, America is the best country in the world because of our freedom and liberty. This insight appears to elude the "peace" protesters. After all, if the "peace protesters" were protesting against the regimes in their favored countries of Iraq, Cuba and Zimbabwe, they would be swiftly dispatched, along with their families.

I hearby offer $100 to any "peace protester" towards a flight to the totalitarian regime of their choice. Only requirement - they can't come back when they, inevitably, realize the horrible mistake that they have made.

Way to go. The peaceniks are either too stupid to realize the irony of their positions or they plain just don't care.

Where in Central Florida did this occur? I would have loved to join you.

Thank you so much for being there!

I'm sending this article to my local news outlets. We need some serious educating in this world...and fast:

(Excerpt) Peace advocates lead farcical parade , David Warren - Ottawa Citizen:

Today is peace march day. Around the world, and especially across Europe, perhaps millions will march in solidarity with Saddam Hussein; while the people of Iraq continue to live under one of this world's most murderous and vicious dictatorships, glumly anticipating American liberation, but fearing they'll be let down once again.

Chic exponents of abortion on demand will accuse President George W. Bush of wanting to kill Iraqi babies; socialist proponents of public theft will accuse him of trying to steal Iraqi oil; and people whose safety and freedom have been guaranteed by U.S. military protection all their lives, will chant that "Amerika" is a fascist country.

It is a scene of human depravity, worthy of description by the Hebrew prophets.

Greetings The Right Stuff, FReepers, et al:
Thanks for the after action report. We admire your courage. Perhaps a letter to your local newspapers describing your observations are in order?

I would need every ounce of restraint I have to avoid jamming the stick of my sign through his ribs if I saw that.
