For whom?

I meant, things are going to get worse for freedom-loving people in Germany. And then they will get better - it's the nature of history. I'm not offering any predictions on how long it will take, though :-)

LOL. I just don't have your optimism on this one, my friend.
The economic situation is such that the Government has no solutions, either party. They try to patch things up, when the real problem is that the entire system needs to be overhauled from the bottom up. They are sitting in a leaky boat and expect everyone to bail it out with a spoon.
Foreign investment is now non-existing. To quote an Industrialist "I don't see anyone opening a Firm in Germany because of the inflexibility and the enormeous expense". Investment is being made in the former eastern block countries because of better conditions and cheaper labor.
When have you ever seen a politician elected whose platform is "Lower wages and lower benefits"?
The Trade Unions are the real masters in Germany, controlling everything from Wages to conditions.
I have always said that the worst thing to happen to Germany was the Wirtschaftswunder and the inability to manage the prosperity that came to everyone.
It also seems all over the world, not only in "D", that only during the bleakest times will true leaders emerge. The better the times the more they want to appease and strengthen their future by being reelected.
Well, I guess I just agreed with you that after the bleakest times...........................
Thanks for listening to me rant :)
