A quick glance at the participating organizations in yesterdays "peace" rally in Oslo is quite revealing:
Norges Muslimske Ungdom - Muslim youth of Norway
Nettverk av engasjerte buddhister - Network of activist buddists
Det Islamske Forbundet - The Islamic Association
Islamsk kvinnegruppe i Norge - Islamic Women's Group of Norway
World Islamic Mission
Islamsk Råd Mer info - Islamic Council
SV - The Socialistic Left pary
Sosialistisk ungdom - Socialistic Youth
Internasjonale sosialister - International Socialists
AKP - THe Workers Communist Party
RV - The Red Alliance (extreme leftist party)
Senterungdommen - The Greens youth organization
Rød ungdom - Red Youth
Norges kommunistiske parti - The Norwegian communist party
Oslo SV - Oslo Socialistic Left party
Norges Kommunistiske - The communist of Norway
Norges kommunistiske studentforbund - Norway's communist Student Group
Oslo RV - Oslo Red Party
Kvinnefronten - Women's front
Fellesutvalget for Palestina - The common council for Palestine
ATTAC
Palestinakomiteen - The Palestine committe
Palestinakomiteen i Oslo - The Palestine committe of Oslo
Kvinnegruppa Ottar i Oslo - The women's group Ottar (militant feminist organisation)
Rød Front - Red Front
Pakistansk Studentersamfunn - Pakistani Student Union
Suffice to say: The emerging union between socialists and islamists is increasingly becoming noticable.
TOPICS: Foreign Affairs; News/Current Events
KEYWORDS: iraq; norway; war
To end on a hopeful note: The vast majority of Norwegians did not take part yesterday, and according to the latest polls the opposition the the US position, albeit still large, is dropping.
Cheers.

Well, a lot of those "Christian organizations" are fundamentally socialist fellow-travelers. Never met a liberal cause they didn't like.

I file many of the christian participants in the well-meaning, but oh-so naive category....albeit quite a few leading christian activists have a strong leftist agenda.
Cheers.

Thanks, Great job!
I feel much better. I just wish our side had a more effective way of getting the truth out.

Suffice to say: The emerging union between socialists and islamists is increasingly becoming noticable. I can't help but wonder how these people think the Islamists will spare them if the non-socialists are obliterated. The Democrat party here in the USA is definitely on the Islamist side, but they try to act patriotic out of the other side of their mouth.

A similar list could be compiled in relation to all the peace marches that have been held lately. Those who show up are a ragtag bunch of socialists, communists, anti-capitalists, greens, anti-Americans, anti-Bushes, anti-Israels, pro-Palestinians, pro-abortionists and feminists.
Among them here and there are scattered a few whose opposition to the war is based on personally held beliefs and not alliance to a larger agenda.

These vermin are not "peace activists", they are anti-capitalism, anti-American, anti-Bush anarchists.
