Prime Minister Blair is a true friend to the USA! I've always suspected him to be a smarmy Clintinoid, but he's sure been on the right side of this issue. He has allowed no daylight to show between the UK and US as regards Iraq.

I was lucky enough to catch it live (was up at 5am). I hit 'Record' on my Tivo and saved the whole thing so I could study it again later. It was quite a performance for a British Labor leader. I was reminded of Thatcher and Churchill even if the speech wasn't quite so stentorian as they might have managed. But it fit a party rally very well, one where Mr. Blair was speaking to the dissent in his own party as it faced massive public demonstrations against its policy. Mr. Blair's own principles and his real heartfelt sentiment came through strongly along with his sound reasoning and argument.
