The only common thread in who liberals support and who they denigrate is that a liberal will always support the weaker side. It doesn't matter if the weaker side is full of murderer's, child-molestors, or terrorists, so long as they have a cause to trumpet.

In the left a cause is known as a "struggle". As in the "struggle" to free A of imperialist domination by B. Or the "struggling" peasants of X.

The only common thread in who liberals support and who they denigrate is that a liberal will always support the weaker side.

And they support the weaker side in order to be seen as rescuers, givers, and providers. Thus they create a bond of dependence to those they "help." Israel has always been fiercely independent and resourceful and the parenting-government liberals just can't have that kind of unruly behavior now, can they.
