I am not a telecommunication expert but in the event of a Chinese invasion on America, why do they bother to decode the encrypted communications. They always have the simpler option to just unplug the entire system and render America's military, civil and commercial communication crippled. When the system is up again, the Chinese are already at the White House accepting America's surrender. Game over. If this deal goes through, it would be the equivalent of placing the plug in China's hand.

WAKE UP, AMERICA. THERE WILL BE HEAVY PRICE TO PAY FOR YOUR BLINDNESS.

As you proceed to make abundantly clear.

but in the event of a Chinese invasion on America, why do they bother to decode the encrypted communications.

A Chinese invasion of the US is about as likely as space aliens invading.

They always have the simpler option to just unplug the entire system and render America's military, civil and commercial communication crippled.

The beauty of the Internet is that you can't "unplug" it.

A what? What are you smoking, bro? What are they going to do, march across the ocean? Send 500,000 guys over here on airplanes, 300 at a pop? They don't have even 100 such airplanes. Let's worry about things that can really happen. Chinese invasions are not one of them.

What did you think was my position that had you address me in your warning? I'm preaching the danger of China.

Some people think only of our own land being the target of Chinese agression, not understanding our country's need to resolve conflicts worldwide before they too severely effect the globe's security and economics. I'm not one of them.

I believe China is as vigilent as we are at evesdropping and could benefit from understanding how to resist our best efforts when they meet up with them.

Whether or not a Chinese aquisition of this communications company aids their cause, it seems to me the Chinese could do all the intercepting they have time for without spending the money to by into a market that has cutthroat competion to the point of not being able to remember to whom your tele bill is paid.

If the U.S. has any secrets left after the Clinton/Gore adminstration's sell-off, there is probably one of their guys working on a way to finish the deal.
