Pennsylvania H Pat Toomey R 100 100 97 4
Pennsylvania S Rick Santorum R 95 100 87 12
Pennsylvania S Arlen Specter R 50 56 42 22 I'll lose the formatting, but you'll get the picture... Anyone inspired to support Pat Toomey in his senate race against Arlen Specter?
To: Stay the course
Interesting to see that Arlen Specter has now eclipsed Lincoln Chafee to claim the mantle of most liberal Republican, and also with Judas Jim Jeffords' switch, how hard-left he went, eclipsing a large section of the 'Rats. A "6", unbelievable. We should've smelled this character a long time ago, what a joke.

Alabama Senators: "Jeff Shelby"? "Richard Sessions"?

Two of the more interesting numbers is that the His Holiness Zell Miller dropped from 60 in 2001 to 47 while the despised John McCain rose from 68 in 2001 to 78 in 2002. Are you still disappointed Sen. Miller is retiring?
To: Stay the course; mountaineer; EternalVigilance; folklore; JayWolfe; Twig; Twig76
Couple a' notes:
- Leach's jump to 56 still ain't helpin him. This butthead and the Hildabeast still want to abolish the Electoral College. OUT!
- McInsane's 68->78?? I don't believe it and even so, he sides with 'Rats on too many important issues (like CFR) so the CU number is irrelevant. OUT!!
- Chris Shays 32->76...an anomaly since his lifetime is still a 48 and he's another CFR hack. OUT!!
- Thanks for correctly labeling Jumpin' Jeffords as a "D" 'Rat. We certainly like our targets clearly identified.
- WEST VIRGINIA notes: Byrdopping to 15 is due mostly to senility. OUT!! And Mollohan down to 24 is all the more reason that Jay Wolfe should challenge him next year. Got yer ears on Senator Wolfe?

Thanks. They always have some typos on their site. Probably have some flunkie typing stuff in.
The ratings labeled "Richard Sessions" are for Jeff Sessions.
The ones labeled "Jeff Shelby" are for Richard Shelby.

It's a mystery why Ralph Hall (88) (D-TX) doesn't jump ship.
He claims this is his last term, though, but he said that after '00 as well.

Ohio H James Traficant D 0 76 30 18 And THIS is the man many freepers supported?
"He stands up for what he believes!!! He's not afraid to vote his conscience!!!"
He either doesn't believe in the right things or does not have a conscience. Or maybe both.
To: 11th Earl of Mar
Sorry, the zero should be "N/A". He didn't vote on any of the 25 bills their rating is based on.

Nothing would give me more pleasure than voting out that "not proven" SOB Specter.
Except perhaps voting on the Democratic primary ticket for Al Sharpton. HA
To: Stay the course
Wow. Look at the ratings of Goode, Hall and Lucas.
We need to cause more democrats to be elected like that.
To: Stay the course
Does the ACU take a Senator's or Representative's votes on abortion into consideration when handing out their rankings? The numbers suggest that they did in 2001, when the 10 pro-abortion Republicans listed in "Top Ten Increases" scored between 25 and 52 (average score, 39), while the 7 pro-life Democrats listed in "Top Ten Decreases" (all but Byrd, Conrad and Jeffords) scored between 32 and 64 (average score, 50). But in 2002, the same 10 pro-abortion Republicans scored between 56 and 92 (average score, 74), while the same 7 pro-life Democrats scored between 8 and 32 (average score, 21), which suggests that their votes on abortion were not taken into account. Given the general increase in ACU ratings in 2002 for nominal Republicans (heck, Lincoln Chafee scored a 56, for crying out loud!), I have to assume that the ACU gave more weight in 2002 to party-line votes on proposals pushed by the Democratic Senate and Republican House, respectively, than in previous years, at the expense of pro-life issues.
That helps explain why Arlen Specter's ratings were 53 in 2002 but are 42 for his career. Given the fact that all Republicans received a slight "bump" from the ACU in 2002, Specter's rating is just as pitiful as it's ever been. To Specter apologists out there, all I have to say is, go, Pat, go!

I just noticed that they still have Goode listed as a Democrat. He switched from Democrat to Independent in 2000, and he became a Republican in 2002.
