The wild dog story is so gruesome, I will have nightmares. It is hard to believe anyone can be that cruel. That man has to be killed. A trial is too good for him. Except maybe his victims to-be might enjoy testifying against him.

We've got to go soon. It's getting ridiculous. Our loyal allies, esp. Arabic, are getting tired.

A lady who runs a dress shop near me is from Iran. She tells me that when the Shah of Iran was in power, the country was prosperous, the women shopped on busy streets and life was good. The very next day after he was overthrown the country was in chaos, there was no food to be bought, armed men roamed the streets. She herself was arrested and put in prison for a very long time. At one point she was lined up with other women against a wall, being told she would be executed with the others by firing squad. There they stood facing the soldiers as they raised their rifles, cocked them, and then fired. The soldiers laughed as the women screamed. They had fired over their heads. Guess it must have been a slow boring day for them.

There are so many horrible atrocities committed by Saddam's thugs that it's hard to list them all. Amazingly, when Saddam's two sons were little boys, they were routinely taken to the torture chambers and made to watch the proceedings so that they would be just as brutal when they grew up. And they are.
