In the seires ... as in real life, we end up having our hands full with both of them.

Throughtout the series, before any actual invasion, the results of the right now, continuing invasion across our borders plague us in the war effort due to many large scale terror attacks (from Islamics, Chinese and Azatland activists) that keep occurring.

Ultimately, the entire Homeland Security apparatus is re-organized (in the novels) to take advantage of the 80+ million armed Americans and their second amendment rights whoi are organized into Home Guard units to interdict terror as it occurs.

Well, my hope is that it stays fiction ... but I believe our best bet in realizing that hope is to understand that we have very real, very capable, and very ruthless enemies who desire to make something like it come true.

That's one of the big reasons I am writing the entire series.

The rally at Klamath?

The first evening of the stand at Klamath Falls was very tense and potentially dangerous ... don't evny us too much for that.

But, as a result of a lot of people, particularly some couragous, God-fearing farming families and their friends right there ... the crisis was met and overcome for a season. It's not entirely done yet, but there is clearly a better environment working in this administration now.

I pray it stays that way.
