THESE RULES ARE NOT SET IN STONE!
CHANGE THEM !!!
END THE FILLIBUSTER RULE !

I certainly believe that the Republicans could and should push through a change to the Senate filibuster rule so that it has no application in the case of Senatorial Advise and Consent motions.
I think that this should be done NOW, before the end of the week, on a motion of the President Pro Tem of the Senate, Dick Cheney.

.....THESE RULES ARE NOT SET IN STONE!.....
Exactly!
Frist should call for the vote, have a vote and declare Estrada to be approved. Let the rats complain about the rules and force them to sue.Let the SCOTUS decide what is superior.... the Senate rules or the Constitution.
Having got that off my chest, I know the Senators are more loyal to the senate than to the Constitution and the Republic. There would not be 51 Republican votes in a Senate with no Rules.
