Oh I don't know about 2008 but she definitely won't run in 2004! I know by lurking around the democreep chat rooms the presidential candidates stack up with the democreeps and Hillary is not a viable candidate for them. Apparently they don't want someone with too much baggage that she will be scrutinized in everything she does. They also are very angry at her and all the democreeps who voted for Bush's war resolution. The one they really like now is DEAN!! Kerry is about 50/50 with the democreeps. Lieberman is a joke as far as they are concerned. As far as 2008 - we will see - you could be right about her running. Right now Hillary has to build up power and the only way she can do that is to keep her Senate Seat and work on that.

"...I know by lurking around the democreep chat rooms the presidential candidates stack up with the democreeps and Hillary is not a viable candidate for them...."

God bless you for spending time with the other side, sparing the rest of us weaker souls.

I am not surprised to hear that HRC is not popular among the activist Dems who visit chat rooms. No one would hate an opportunist and poseur like Hillary more than committed ideologues of her own political stripe.

In her mind, however, she is very popular among the useful idiots out in soccer mom territory. Popular enough that she could easily win a closely contested primary contest with a crowded field.

She probably won't run in 2004, but you can bet she is keeping all her options open, testing various messages to see which has traction, working her network to stock pile markers to be called in at some opportune time.

And, I can assure you she does not fear Howard Dean. He is not a serious candidate, but a perfect foil. When his poll numbers get into the low teens he will start to make the on-the-payroll professionals in Washington nervous. They will be the first to sense their comfortable sincures in danger.

That's just the moment that they may start begging HRC to enter the race to save the party from the McGoverniks. Do you remember the ABM? No not the missile system but the Anybody But McGovern Movement. It was big in 1972, when I was a pup HS sophmore supporting my beloved loser in his crusade for acid, amnesty and abortion. The Dem pros won't wait until its too late this time.
