Do we call poseur-songs about cocaine, whiskey and promiscuity "duets?"

Actually, "Picture" really is a beautiful song, particularly if you've been in a position to know what it's like to love someone, and not be with them for whatever (and in most cases, stupid) reasons.

The whiskey & cocaine part I found a bit refreshing because of the honesty there. Kid Rock basically comes out and says this is what it's like - and doesn't hide anything. He's always been like that with his songs, which is why I'm such a big fan of his. No, I don't think cocaine should be legal or any of that, but you have to love the honesty in his songs. I only hope that it doesn't destroy a very talented rocker.

I see what you're saying. More power to him. I'm not actually trying to be a snob -- just unimpressed with old school honkey-tonk lyrics, I guess. Or maybe it's just Sheryl Ostrich's influence.
