So was Rush right yesterday when he said that the Dems have never actually proclaimed their actions as a filibuster?

No. Sen. Boxer was quoted by AP as calling it same.

Here's the quote from Boxer:
"Democrats say their votes against an Estrada confirmation are solid and have been calling on Republicans to end the debate. Republicans do "not have the (60) votes to stop this filibuster," said Sen. Barbara Boxer of California." - AP - 3/4/03
Sadly, Rush does sometimes get things wrong.

Good morning. I wish I didn't have to work today, so I look forward up catching up with this thread later. Many, many thanks for your continued posting efforts.

Alexander is bringing up something that has been a burr in my saddle for a long time. They do not teach American History and Civics to my satisfaction. My kids didn't get near the education I did on those subjects. It amazes me sometimes when we are talking about the areas that were either completely changed in their history classes or not covered at all!
