I'm pinging the freeperettes about this but the guys can chime in on this too.
I know Mother's Day is in May.
But as this is national women's histlry month, I felt this was a good time to ask, especially since we are remembering the women who have made strives in all areas.
At my work I see posters an pictures of women who have beem great politicians, medical persons, astronauts, soldiers, ect.
but one achievement of women seems to be ignored.
What about mothers?
Motherhood, in my opinion, is the most important thing a woman can do.
Mothers, who CHOOSE to stay home and raise thier children are virtually ignored, even on Mother's Day!
The glory is given to those who work and leave thier children in daycare or in the care of others.
Why is that? Why should the institute of motherhood be likened to an undesireable thing such as prostitution?
Understand, I'm not putting down these women who have achieved so much in this world and for mankind.
But, consider this, What's if Barbara Bush or any of your mothers chose not to have children or take the time to teach and nurtured thier children?
Good question. I believe the profession has become "non-essential" due to the fast-paced and materialistic world that we live in.
A crying shame, it is.
