The flag that was voted-on and won the vote in '65 had blue bordersNope. The flag was voted on and adopted in 1964. Trudeau wasn't elected till 1965, wasn't PM till 1968. Canada had been trying to get a new flag adopted since the 1920's, unfortunately it took the Liberal PM Pearson to do it.
