A Swedish MP had a secret life as a prostitute when she was a student in the 1970s.
The politician's past is revealed in a new documentary, Sex for Sale to Rich Men, on Swedish television.
She tells how she slept with famous figures including police chiefs and a government minister.
The MP, said to be well-known in Sweden, keeps her anonymity by having her lines read by an actress.
She is quoted as saying: "I was young and naive and had no perspectives. My clients were famous journalists, police chiefs and one minister.
"The minister did not brag about who he was. He was like all the other men."
Author Deanne Rauscher is writing a book about the brothel where the MP worked.
She knows the politician well and told Aftonbladet: "She studied while trying to support herself working as a prostitute.
"She has children who know nothing. How much fun would it be for them to learn that their mother used to be a prostitute?"

Big deal. At least 400 members of the US Congress are prostituting themselves right now.

I was in Sweden this past summer. Apparently they had been very liberal with legalized prostitution in the 70s and gave it up after seeing too many women getting hooked on drugs (Sounds like a standard pimp tactic, at least according to the movies I've seen!)
Now, they claim that they will send johns to jail for several years if caught. Of course, with the notoriously loose morals of the Swedes, there is probably little need to pay for sex these days : - )

How many Female MPs does Sweden have in their 50s who were hot enough to have been the woman in question?
45% of the Swedish MPs are women, and I would think that most are around that age. There are however some details that could help someone looking to find her - and I'm sure some of my friends are on it right now. The brothel in question is well known, making it possible to exclude everyone who wasn't (1) living in the area and (2) studying in the 70s. Going from 157 female MPs to half a dozen (or less) should be possible. Then sort out some ugly ones and perhaps one or two childless women. She'll be 'outed' in days.

Ron Paul is one of a kind. A close second is Charles Grassley.

no, no! And wears "sensible shoes",
You're right - not enough coffee yet. The uniform becomes complete with corduroy Levi jeans and pocketed polo shirt.
