Cox Radio's Washington correspondant, Jaimie Dupree, on with Boortz during the 12N ET hour, says that there is a rumor which no one will confirm nor deny at this point, that Osama bin Laden has been captured. The rumor also says that President Bush will announce this capture during tonight's press conference.Bush has cleared his schedule, so no one knows anything...
According to Dupree, the "usual sources" are unusually mum today...

I've been saying this ever since they started talking about "knowing" where he is. I think they got him yesterday.

(It's a long kick; and the Iraqis take it on the 2, down the left side, and stopped on their own 18.)

BBC says White House denies this... Though it was one of the first ideas in my mind as well.

"No way!"
To: mhking
This from the BBC:
The White House has denied rumours circulating in Washington that it is about to announce the capture of Bin Laden.
To: mhking
Nice rumor. Hope it's true. Not gonna bet the farm though.
I still think it's going to be a bit underwhelming: defensive pre-spin ahead of the Blix report and the clamoring for "peace" from the American Left and the axis of weasels which will follow it.
To: One Loud Voice
I thought this had been shot down. Hope it's true, though.
