This was on top of a suspected nuclear arsenal of 100 weapons.

This little snippet just jumped out. The highest number I have previously seen is 6-8 weapons and more likely 2-3.

We need to get Iraq finished soon. NK is a looming crisis that needs quick attention and it will probably have to be military attention.

Kim's threatening NY and East Coast cities now. Unlikely he has missiles that can reach that far, but one doesn't need a warhead to deliver a nuclear weapon. A slow moving boat will do nicely.

This little nutbag acts like an meth addict who has been removed cold turkey from his hit. I suppose that is what happens when you go from having a smiling Bill Clinton feeding you in your bleak corner to George Bush pulling the food and coldly staring at you, wondering how best to take you down and crush you like the rabid bug you are!

"North Korea would launch a ballistic missile attack on the United States if Washington..."

go ahead you puny little pork belly. We've been waiting a long time to kick your ass. We are not intimidated by your chest thumping (should I say belly thumping?). So you have 1 or 2 nukes? So what? No one seriously believes your ballistic missiles could hit anything.

this will give us the chance to finish the Korean war once and for all. After we are done, we will turn over pork bellied Kim Jong Ill to all the people he starved and let them decide what to do with him. I'm sure they have some creative ideas.

I'd like to suggest that we all pause for a minute's silent tribute to the architects of this crisis, Jimmah Carter, and the Nobel Committee that awarded him its "Peace" Prize. We should not forget the major contributions of another former president, Clinton. Our media tend to forget where credit is due.

"If American forces carry out a pre-emptive strike on the Yongbyon facility, North Korea will immediately target, carry the war to the US mainland," he said, adding that New York, Washington and Chicago would be "aflame".

Speaking of fools, this is the perfect illustration for the mental deficients who argue and whine that "why should the U.S. not allow other countries to have nuclear weapons when the U.S. has them?"

Some countries are more responsible than others.
To my knowledge, China and North Korea are the only two countries who have ever threatened another country explicitely, even to the point of naming targets.

For most rational adults, that, right there is enough to answer the stupid question.

Kim Myong-chol, who has links to the Stalinist regime, told reporters in Tokyo that a US strike on the nuclear facility at Yongbyon "means nuclear war". "If American forces carry out a pre-emptive strike on the Yongbyon facility, North Korea will immediately target, carry the war to the US mainland," he said, adding that New York, Washington and Chicago would be "aflame".

I wonder why he named targets beyond the reach of North Korea's missiles? Suitcase bombs? Dirty nukes?

Finally, a press report that says it like it is "a Stalinist regime", everyone take note who is the string puller of North Korea.

NOT CHINA BUT RUSSIA

Contrary to popular belief, The HARRP Facility in Gakona Alaska when "Turned On", disable any Intercontinental Ballistics Missile. No country can fire from their shores a missile that can hit us.You don't hav eto believe me;Nick Begich wrote a fantastic book called "Angels Don't Play This HAARP".( GO type that in your favorite online bookstore) But we do have these 'missile tests' off the Calif. Coast a few times a year, to keep the money flowing don't we? Just a little cynicism on a Friday Morning.
