Daschle and all the other Dems are terrified that this was is going to be short and successful, and that President Bush will win the 2004 election in a landslide.
They hate the fact that Americans are mobilizing and rallying behind the President to counter the anti-war protests.
Did you notice that vein on Daschle's right temple last night? Looks like it's ready to pop!

I did notice the vein. That was his temple? Looked more like a, um, errr, there is no delicate way to say it . . . so I won't.

"Looks like it's ready to pop!"
One can only....oh, nevermind. Being mean-spirited is the job of the left...

That must terrify the noisy minority. Their noise has always been the sqeeky wheel that got the greese. They make so much noise, most people think they speak for the majority of American, but that's not the case at all.
When the quiet ones start to squeek, it cries out louder than they do because it's unusual.
Having the pro-Americans speaking out for once ruins the tactics they've used to push their socialist values for years.
If the quiet ones get used to speaking out, the left will always be defeated.

Daschle and all the other Dems are terrified that this was is going to be short and successful, and that President Bush will win the 2004 election in a landslide. The sad thing is that they know, if the war goes well, it will be impossible to beat Bush, so they have to sell short and put all their chestnuts in the war going badly.
Unfortunately, they are hoping it does go bad.

Isn't it amazing the way the Democrats positions totally change based on whether or not they can gain political advantage from it? They are all gung ho for war when Bush is riding high, but the moment public opinion drops a little, they do a total about face.
They truly are a party without principles. They don't stand for anything, except for hating Bush and getting back into power.
