May God bless Michael Savage and his new effort on MSNBC. I wanted to be the first to stake-out a live thread (did a search) for this great occasion. The weizen beer is cold and pretzels are ready. All ball caps MUST face forward!

You know, I have never heard this guy before, but on an MSNBC show they were interviewing Savage, they asked him what he thought of the US going to war with Iraq. And I was shocked to hear him say he was totally against it! I for one will not tune in to hear him spew anti-war crap! After all the raves he has gotten here, I thought he was a true patriot...how sad :(

He's not against the war. He said that Bush has waited too long and hasn't made the case well enough. He also said on his radio show that he plans to help Bush make the case by exposing Saddam on his TV show. He is not anti-war.

I know what you mean. I was starting to become a real fan since he started broadcasting here on the east coast six month ago. He totally disappointed me the night of President Bush's press conference. He said the President didn't make the case to go into Iraq and that he and his staff were falling asleep watching him. He waffles too much on issues. Lately all he seems to focus on is promoting his book and TV show.

Michael Savage is a CLASSLESS jerk! His ego is even bigger than O'Reilly. I've tried listening to him on radio since he came to Boston in November. He is nasty, snotty and so into himself -- again, he is a JERK and believe me I am being nice.

The thing about Mike is that you won't agree with him *all* the time, but when you DO agree, omg, having someone like him on your side is great.

I work for the gov't. I come home and listen. It's a great stress reliever. He says all the things I'm not allowed to say. He's very un-pc. Thank God!

It's always a shame to see a stunning 33 year old college student who doesn't know how to write and views it as not a problem.

To all of those belonging to the "Checked Pants Crowd:"

Please feel free to keep your blue blooded selves on the golf channels or at any other activity you might prefer. He's not a jerk and you're right, you aren't nice.

I have to agree that he didn't make the case to anyone who was against it, or to someone who saw only that press conference knowing little else. To the well informed, it was a snoozer. I found myself zoning out a couple times myself.

Pres. Bush doesn't do somber well in my opinion. It fit the occasion, but not the man. As real a side of him it may be, it is not his best public face.

A lot of people seem to have that view. I thought he came across extremely well -- very confident of what the outcome will be. I especially thought his comment about how the U.S. became a "battlefield" after September 11 was especially powerful. I do like Savage and will definitely watch him. It's quite a breakthrough to get an ultra-conservative on MSNBC.

He's no Howie Carr, eh? I've never heard Savage, and may listen out of curiosity, and so I can form my own opinion. Up here in southern Maine, we used to get G. Gordon Liddy -- I miss listening to the G-man.
