Easy to protest

It is easy to say "Peace at any price" when you are not paying the price.

It is easy to criticize the president when you know he is not going to send soldiers to kick in your door and gang-rape every female inside, no matter how young; when you know you are not going to have to watch your children being tortured in ways that cannot be described in this newspaper.

It is easy to call the president evil when you know he is not going to have your tongue ripped out and have you stripped, manacled and fed alive to specially trained dogs.

Terrorists trained in the heart of Baghdad go to the Philippines, Israel and Europe to blow up civilians, but you live in New York, California and the Midwest.

The United Nations' Oil for Food Program would be better named the Oil for Palaces Program, because while the women and children starve, Saddam Hussein builds huge palaces. But you live in a free society with a McDonald's on every corner and an attorney right next door. You will have your day in court.

Say what you want, but unless you are willing to pay the price, I won't listen.

This is a beautiful and effective letter. I wish we could get in touch with this lady and invite her to submit it to newspapers all over the U.S. I tried to do a Switchboard.com search to find her but there are a lot of people with that surname in Kansas, surprisingly.

The other day, the Philadelphia Inquirer printed five letters, one pro-Bush, four (naturally) anti-America.

This, in and of itself, is nothing unusual however, the Inky seemed to go out of their way to find the most inarticulate, raving, pro-Bush missive they could find.

This is how the left (too far to the left to even be able to see) does it. They keep repeating over and over again their crazy ideas.
The useful idiots start seeing more of the lefts opinion and soon join in thinking, a stretch here, that since this is all they here, it has to be true, or at least reasonable. After awhile they have a majority of this kind of thinking.

The conservatives, on the other hand, sit back and think that common sense will prevail while the insensible is printed for all to see. After its all said and done, the liberals win the day and we end up scratching our heads.
