Officers witnessed the vandalism Saturday afternoon but did not arrest three people seen damaging the memorial because they were "exercising the same freedom of speech that the people who put up the flags were," said La Habra Police Capt. John Rees. Uh no. Thats vsandalism and destrcution of property, whether its public or private. These peopel should have been arrested on the spot and the PC policemen should be suspended for not protecting property rights and upholding the law.

Okay, let's see if I have this right:
Some America-hating aftholes come onto private property and destroy a memorial constructed for those lost on 9-11. The LAPD not only did not arrest those involved, they stood by and watched as the carnage took place.
To quote Vincent Bugliosi, it is so damn obscene there are no words for it.

California cops are incapable of arresting anyone or convicting anyone. Thats the reason I won't ever live out there.
To: rimmont
This is disgusting.
The police chief needs a good FReeping.
Anyone have his email address?

"Come on EARTHQUAKE break off California from the rest of us."
That's like cutting off your nose to spite your face. If you think morons like this are confined to California, you are incredibly insular.

La Habra Police Capt. John Rees needs to be suspended until he can demonstrate that he understands the law.

I sent this to O'Reilly. I'd like to see this on national tv. I think it would put a real bad taste in peoples mouths who dont pay much attention. Shows these "peace" protesters for what they really are.
The cops standing by looking is another issue. They need to be questioned as well.
To: rimmont
John Rees is a politically-correct guy with a bright future in modern law enforcement.
I'll bet his family, colleagues, and acquaintances admire him.
A future Police Chief, for sure.

That's because they aren't paid enough, or don't have enough benefits, or can't retire after one year of service, or don't have better air conditioned cars, etc. Sorry, I don't mean to insult all police officers.

These anti-war people haven't changed in 35 years.

That's Los Angeles for you. The Left can do no wrong in the eyes of many here. That's why we have a CITY COUNCIL that thinks it knows more about foreign affairs than Washington.
Of course, if these actions had been conducted by a self-described right wing group, it'd be all over the L.A. Times as an "act of hatred."
But no...there'll be no L.A. Times coverage of this. It's for the Left to engage in hate speech and hate-actions, provided it's pointed at America.
And they wonder why the rest of us consider them un-American? Sheesh...

write Los Angeles Chief Branson c/o White Plains, NY
To: rimmont
I thought earlier this was posted as taking place in another city with almost the same wording. Is this happening in more than one place or is Ted Nugent writing things he didn't write again.

it'd be all over the L.A. Times as an "act of hatred."
the LA Times refuses to call the San Francisco liberal cop riot anything but "a brawl"...if it was LAPD it would characterize the beating as "horrific brutality"
DRUG TEST THE LOS ANGELES CITY COUNCIL NOW!!!
To: Flurry
I've heard that something like this happened in two adjacent places, I think Whittier and La Habra, at around the same time but I'm not exactly clear on the details.

It's the La Habra police not the LAPD you should be freeping. They have a fax number: (562) 905-9779. Rees is apparently the head of this department.
