The phrase caught on and was a favorite reply on threads that were totally pointless. Pretty soon the whole moose thing started as a compliment to the "I like cheese" responses that were totally pointless.

I believe it was Lazamataz who coined the phrase, "A moose bit my sister once", and it was all downhill from there.
