The 911 terrorist attack on the U.S. was not an act of war directed by the nation of Iraq. Exactly what level of involvement they had is a matter of opinion and largely a subject of debate.

Besides, wasn't our retaliation on Afghanistan a good indicator to the arab world that we won't take such things lightly?

The logic of the pro-war crowd is also based on one premise, "Saddam has WMD and might use them someday". For this you would have us wage war? For 12 years the guys been held in check and hasn't used any of em!

I hate to say this, but this is a bone of contention that we'll just have to disagree on. Its gone on 12 years too long, in my opinion, however I respect that you have a different opinion and I'm glad you express it without insults or personal attacks against anyone.

I'd love to debate this more, but us poor slobs trapped in the east coast RAT zones have to get up to pay taxes in the morning. I'll mark and check the thread tomorrowm in hopes that someone picks up the flag.
