Ping.
Thanks for finding this older article on the WWP, IAC,ANSWER, Ramsay Clark etc.
Strangely, the first part of the article about the founding of IAC and ANSWER sounds a lot like a three part series I did in 1991 for the old Washington Inquirer. However, I distinctly identified the IAC NOT as a creation of Clark, the blithering old fool turned communist stooge, but as a creation of the WWP using Clark as their front man.
The article referred to Gemma Gavriell as an employe of Clark’s law firm but rumors had it that he was screwing her and fell under his commie sway and the rest is proven history.
ANSWER was always a WWP front, coming out of their Peoples Action Movement (PAM) and their All-Peoples Congress of the late 70’s/early 80s.
The rest of the article is very good, esp. linking the Marxist Pastors For Peace (Rev. Lucius Walker, a longtime communist sympathizer) to Cuba and Nicaragua.
Glad to see that the WWP fronts are back in FR’s readerships’ view as a refresher of who they are.
PS: Their signs, which appeared at Ferguson, Baltimore, Portland, etc., are now Black and White, Yellow and Black, and some of the old Orange and Black.
