I don't like the idea that "we" need help this guy get advertisers. If this guy is having troubel getting advertisers I believe it, his show is lame.

Oh please! You are now showing how little you know of this subject.

This kind of approach has been used for liberals for years (ala Jessie Hai Jackson). These groups started this movement BEFORE any advertisers even considered buying ads. One group vowed to keep him off the air "at any costs". In other words, we the people are just to plain STUPID to know what is best for us, so the liberals will decide what speech is free and what speech should be banned.

Here is how it should work: If the show gets good ratings, the show stays on the air. If the show gets poor ratings, the show gets cancelled.

Here is how it should NOT work: If the show (host) gives opinions that some do not agree with, do not let it on the air. If the show (host) agrees with everything liberals believe, then it can be broadcast.

Wow, talk about censorship and ignoring freedom of speech.

Wake Up!

Wow, talk about censorship and ignoring freedom of speech.

This is not "censorship." The government is not involved.

If some members of the free market put pressure on advertisers not to advertise on a particular show, what's wrong with that? Advertisers don't like controversy. And there's no more controversial personality than Michael Savage.

In addition, no more than 5% of the American public is even aware of Savage's show. Almost nobody watches MSNBC and even fewer Americans are going to sit down on a Saturday afternoon to view an obnoxious talk show.

Some people don't work on television. Alan Keyes didn't, Dr. Laura didn't, Phil Donahue didn't.

Savage won't either.

But, at least it might bring in a viewer or two more than MSNBC Investigates.
