You're guessing and repeating tradition. That'd be fine if this were a party game, but as it isn't, I must ask for authority.

Mine is the Word of God. God says dead Christians are dead (1 Thessalonians 4:16). God always and only forbids our making any inquiries or gestures towards the dead in any way (Isaiah 8:19, 20). God says angels are lesser than the Son (Hebrews 1:5).

I only speak about areas of Romanism of which I have some knowledge. Candid Romanists say that they "pray" to dead people and, I read now, even angels. If you do not admit as much, I shall suspect your candor. Romanists only deny that they pray to dead people when they are arguing with Christians.

Prayer is an act of worship. Christians worship neither dead people nor angels; Christians worship God alone (Exodus 20:3; Luke 4:8).

You "think" that "the good God must be highly offended when people do not honor his angels." By starkest contrast, every Christian knows that the good God and Father of Jesus Christ, the God revealed in the Bible, is not only blasphemed and appalled at all acts of worship paid to creatures (Isaiah 42:8; 48:11), but angels themselves are revulsed by acts of worship paid to them (Revelation 22:8, 9).

And one aside to any precious Romanist (or anyone else) who cries "abuse" whenever his religion is contrasted to the Bible: over the years, I've received a considerable share of "abuse" from Romanists. I count it a blessing, as I've been told to do (Matthew 5:11, 12). I just wanted to tell you, it's a wonderful thing to rest on the eternal God and His Word alone, to have a faith that never shames nor embarrasses you, that can endure the most rigorous investigation, and still stand!

I commend to you the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Word of God! There is no substitute!

I sent an email to CSPAN asking where I can buy the tape. But I did a search on abortion and every reference I saw was to a "debate" among the usual pro-abortion fanatics (NARAL, etc.). I'd be surprised to get a positive response... they probably "forgot" to put a tape in any of the cameras today.

You know, I am a born-again Southern Baptist and I for one cheer on the Catholic Church's stand on abortion. Read the poster's prayer again! It's the prayer of St. Michael, not to St. Michael. Catholic theology states that we can petition the saints for their prayers to God, not to the saints. Read a little before you start saying things that make you sound ignorant!

Jesus said, "Whoever is not against us is for us..." Leave the Catholics alone on this topic and find another group to fight with, like the NARAL fiends!

In a word, yes. The doctors had recommended a partial birth abortion to Santorum's wife, and they declined. They held the infant in their arms until it died.

Mrs. Santorum was four months pregnant. Partial birth abortions occur well into the third trimester. Also, the article doesn't state that the doctor recommended a partial birth abortion to Mrs. Santorum.

I don't even like saying the words "partial-birth abortion". A little girl born to a couple from my church is still fighting for her life. This beautiful child and her twin sister were born prematurely at 1.5 lbs. Unfortunately, her sister didn't make it, but Leah has hung in there and she's growing daily and is now over 4 lbs. - God bless her.

How could anyone consider making it OK to choose to kill a little baby weighing even more than this little one does at 2 months old???
