The evil arkansas antichrist is grinning from ear to ear.

Yes, people always incorrectly assume the anti-christ will be male. Hillary is definitely in the running as one of the most destructive and immoral people in American history: as evil as they come, divisively malicious, seductive to those of weak character.

When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He didn't teach them to pray to anyone else but the Father. The angels must wonder why we would ask anything of servants when we have the ear of the King. It is tempting to express our awe of angelic beings by giving them the role of intermediaries, but by God's grace and through the name of Jesus, we have no reason to do so.

It should be noted also, that listing a 'fetal anomoly' is not required and many listed reasons for partial birth infanticide fall into the mental stress category. One can only image what the serial killer will do with a 'risk to a woman's health should the pregnancy continue' exception such as Boxer and Durbin sought and Feinstein tried to sneak in under the guise of exception for 'health of the mother'? I'm astonished that they would be so blatant in their attempt to paint serial killing abortionists as deeply caring health providers worthy to decide issues of 'non-viability of the fetus' and 'risk to the woman's health', given all the evidence to the contrary and the continued abuse of women by aborticutionist all across America. Not to mention they completely ignore the living status of the vast majority of babies slaughtered every day with this demonic 'procedure', for convenience and expedience sake. Democrats ... such caring ghouls!

"Hitlery: Does this bill make exceptions for **BABIES** with brain abnormalities."

Brain abnormalities? In her book, all Right Wing
Extremists would qualify for her defintion of
Partial Birth Abortions!

"Hillary Rodham Clinton"

A name to go down in history
alongside Hitler and Saddam.

At least, that's her plan.

Am I mistaken or wasn't it in the news in the past month or so that abortion rates have actually dropped??

Life, Liberty, and Happiness -- and the reason for their order.

Wow. That is so.... succinct. How dead on if you look at the Clinton admin... pleasure first, responsibility last. Hedonism redefined.

Thought I'd throw this in to the mix... however belatedly. I was pregnant last year, blessed beyond words as my husband and I would say. We thought I couldn't have any more babies due to the big C, plus newly having MS.

Going into the midst of my pregnancy, the UCLA doctors came at me with some LAW that said I had to take some blood tests or sign a waiver saying I wouldn't hold them responsible if anything was wrong. Wrong? Like what? Like down's syndrome, spinal defects, brain issues, cleft palate, etc. They actually SAID "in case you need to consider your options."

My OPTIONS? You mean, if something is wrong with the baby, I shouldn't love it any more? Forgive me, but if something is wrong with my baby and it could die, than I leave it to GOD to make that decision.

I refused. Flat out. And made them keep the sheet on the top of my chart so they wouldn't ask me again.

I wish I was rich. Why? Because I'd travel around and counsel girls and women who are considering this. Because I'd adopt babies who were then saved from murder, even if I had to give them all to new moms and dads to care for and love. Because God can only do so much and he leaves the rest of it up to us to figure out.

This is making the email rounds: Thought I'd add it here.

To my daughters,
You are the most beautiful gifts I have ever received. A Gift from God above. Truly I am Blessed to have the fortune of being your mother.
Every day I rejoice in the simple pleasures of your smile, your laugh, and the rise and fall of your chest when you breathe. Yes, I watch you sleep all the time. If only to remind myself that you are real, and not merely a dream.
I promise to keep you safe to the best of my ability for all of my days.
I promise to provide you with everything you need. To feed you, keep a home for you, make sure you have clothes for sunny and rainy days.
I promise to nurture your soul as well as your mind. To teach you that you are a Gift. That you are Wanted. That a hug is always an arm’s length away. That you are in my heart, always.
I promise to offer counsel to you throughout your life. Both when it is welcome and when it is not.
I promise to share with you those lessons I have learned from mistakes I have made. And to know when it’s okay to stand aside when you need to learn those lessons on your own.
I promise to kiss your tears away when you’re hurting inside and out.
Because every day you kiss my tears away. Just by being Alive.
Tears I shed because of the most tragic path I have ever followed.
You see, you should have an older brother or sister right now. And you have a right to know that.
They told me I had a choice. They told me that I was not alone. They told me they could solve all my problems. They told me not to worry.
And I believed them.
And now? After?
The choice is God’s not mine. He Chose to Bless me with Life, and I turned my back on Him selfishly.
I am alone because my child was ripped from me in the name of Choice. And I allowed it to happen selfishly.
And the problems I had then, of simply being afraid of being a mother, are so insignificant now.
I worry every minute of every day that when I face God He will Judge me for that Choice.
Now I pray that one day you will forgive me. For not allowing you the cherished Right to meet your brother or sister. For not facing my fears and seeing that Life is a Gift. For not pushing aside my selfish desires to be young and without responsibility.
A child is a Gift. And that being a woman and a mother is not a Choice but Gift.
I mourn every day for your brother or sister. But especially today. Because people are out celebrating today in the name of death and murder and millions of babies that will never see the blue blue sky, hear the roar of the ocean or feel a mother’s kiss.
They are cheering that your brother or sister is dead.
I pray that God will forgive those of us who followed that path, and finally found their way back to his arms.
You are a Survivor. Of Humanity’s Greatest Holocaust.
Never forget you are Wanted, Loved, Cherished and most importantly… ALIVE.

Why would Christians not ask our friends in heaven for help, just as we ask our friends on earth?

When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He didn't teach them to pray to anyone else but the Father.

Do you ever ask anyone to pray for you? Paul did.

Romans 15:30
I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.

And there is nothing wrong with asking the angels to pray for us, or in requesting their help. Scripture tells us that the angels present our prayers to our Father in Heaven.

Revelation 5:8
And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Anyway, you stick to your fallible interpretation of Scripture and I'll stick to the infallible teaching of Christ's Church, "the pillar and foundation of truth" (1 Tim 3:15)

You do acts of worship to dead people, you do it to angels, I guess it figures.

It's just nothing a Christian would ever do.

You should be embarassed by your ignorance, but you don't seem to be. And then you wonder why Fundamentalists become the object of caricature.

Can you show me where Catholics are instructed to worship dead people or angels?

The "health of the mother" exception is so bogus

I looked up the mortality rate for pregnant women the other day. The rate is around 7 per 100,000. The leading cause of death is homicide (43%!), followed by motor vehicle accidents and then all other medical complications combined.

Homicide became the leading cause of death this year. I would describe it as abortion by other means, Laci Peterson being a case in point.

First, I think a post was deleted in which I say (as I have often said) that I do applaud the Roman church's stand on abortion, and will work with Romanists, Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Hindus, on shared goals.

Second, let me say plainly: you owe me an apology. It will say a lot about you as to whether or not you give it.

Sounding very much like a Roman Catholic yourself, you accuse me (as they always do) of "not understanding" what I criticize. You tell me that this is a prayer of the angel (it evidently doesn't bother you that someone, as part of a millennia-long diversion from the simplicity of faith in Christ, fabricates an angelic prayer).

Regardless, you are dead-wrong. YOU read what you're talking about.

  1. The opening words are St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in the day of Battle. Do tell, to whom are those words of this "prayer" addressed? Whoever he is (hint: Michael), he is the addressee and object of the "prayer."
  2. Do tell, to whom are the following clauses addressed?
    • Be our safeguard...
    • ...do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, cast into Hell, Satan...
  3. The one who quoted that act of worship to a created being did not dispute that I understood it correctly, as to its addressee. He just tried to defend worshiping creatures.

I am a Christian. I am for the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Word of God. I can site God's word concerning those who defend the butchery of innocent babies, AND concerning those who (among countless other things) offer acts of worship to created beings. Look! I just did!

Ready with my apology?

Dan

Huh? I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be dense (it comes naturally, no trying involved), I can't remember the context of that statement, if indeed I made it.

I'm sure you have a life (— and, if so, tell me... what's it like, having a life?), but if you have a chance to tell me where you got that, I'd appreciate it. If I can see that I committed an act of bloviation, I will apologize.

See post #544, while it's still there. It's my second answering of the same question; the first evidently was treated with "whine-out," and is no longer there.

Thanks for asking.

To couple with A-fan's "answer":
  1. Do you ever close your eyes and beam out invisible, inaudible thoughts to your living fellow-Christians, invoking their names and begging them to pray for you?
  2. Do you attribute to your living fellow-Christians the Divine attribute of omniscience, holding them able to divine and hear and understand the invisible, inaudible beamed-out thoughts of tens of thousands of Christians the world 'round at the same time?
  3. In your beamed-out requests for your living fellow-Christians' prayers, do you includes words of adoration and vows of obedience and acts of reverence?
If not, then your answer to the unstated intent of his questions would be, "The way you mean it, no."
