To his great credit, I heard Senator Durbin vote 'Aye' to the Santorum bill. It gave me a moment of hope that there are prospects for bi-partisan effort at restraining the now unfettered resort to abortion on demand through the nine months of individual life in the womb. True physicians to the welfare of their fellow human beings address the life of the mother as well as the dependant life of the unborn. Killing should (and here that term is precisely accurate) never be an option of casual application of a physician's art and life's work.

Norma is an amazing woman. Many prayed for her even before knowing her real name, and to see her faith in Jesus arise and her entry into the Church has been a totally awesome thing. It can't help but give you hope. And now with the passage of the Ban by the Senate, I have even more hope. I would always recommend believing Jesus over me. I do not fault you for that. But I wonder if you really know Jesus. If you did know him, I do not believe you would have marred this thread with all of your anti-Catholic prejudices.

But your prejudices are too deep of a bitter root within you. I saw about a half hour yesterday (Santorum vs. Feinstein). Santorum was eloquent, impassioned, and ethically right on target. Smarmy Feinstein dressed up her bankrupt arguments with meaningless generalities, all of which avoided the fact that there isn't a solitary restriction on abortion, despite the obvious will of the people that abortion be regulated and prohibited in many instances.
