Since the media's out covering this and we've (me or others) heard CNN mention Rally for Americas twice already today, I think it's good to keep this thread at the top of the bump list.

I've noticed that CNN mentions "thousands" at anti-war demonstrators in its coverage but fails at any numbers (even though large crowds are pictured in coverage) at the Rally For America coverage from Atlanta.

The anti-war rally in San Francisco was refered to as "massive", while there were no adjectives used when footage was shown of the Atlanta Rally For America footage.

No media bias here, move along. Eric Alterman are you paying attention?

One more thing about the In Our Name petition; it will be wrapping up on Monday afternoon so it can be shipped out to the troops. So, if you haven't yet signed, do it quickly.

Actually, they've said there are 20,000 in Atlanta now. Quite frankly, I'll be flamed for saying so, but CNN is actually covering one of our rallies for a change and it is newsworthy and they're not going to hear me complain about it. It is a good thing.

I thought I heard Sheila Lee-Jackson spoke at a Rally For America today and was, of course, booed.

Is this true?

Opps..once again didn't bother to look.

"The tone has been increasingly strident. Sheila Jackson-Lee was booed off the platform at a pro-war rally in Houston, the city she represents in the U.S. House of Representatives."

Help me out here -- it's sort of your neck of the woods. Do you know where there's a spokane Washington rally thread here? I found someone on the Glenn Beck forum that's looking for such a rally.

D'oh. Never mind! I found it -- it was posted on a link off the map at www.freeper.org -- it's done by another group called "Freedom Isn't Free Association" -- I guess they're collecting rallies from other groups too and centralizing them on that map.
