This is a very, very, very important day for Shi'ite Muslims. The self-cutting is going on everywhere in the Middle East that there are Shi'ites. Reuters would have hard time missing it.

I was just chatting with the guy I buy my cigarettes from. He and his cousin run the tobacco shop. They're Maronite Christians from the Bekaa Valley who got run out of their own homes by the Shi'ite terrorists of Hezbollah. He was in the Christian militia at age 12, toting an M-16. He's praying for the Marines, and hoping that after America liberates Iraq, they'll help re-take Lebanon. He's ready to go back and help do it.
