Not only is La Habra still not filing charges against the anti war protesters, they are filing charges against the RV yard (were the La Habra 911 Memorial is) property owner (good guy) for not having city permit to park RV there!

Im not sure of all the details yet this RV yards has been there for years as a busniess with no problem and now with the city getting burned from the news coverage the city comes back with this “your papers are not in order junk”

Excellent point. This is obviously in retaliation for negative national publicity directed towards the City of La Habra and it's Police Dept.

It's my understanding that the City of La Habra is not happy at all with this brutal, national coverage........

We talk for some time and told her this had made the internet (news to her) and told would become a big deal(also news to her) They when we exchanged contact info

I see an incredible number of arm chair quarter-backs coming out on this post. It seems to be SOP that posts like this degenerate into condemning the person who should be receiveing support. An amazing occurence I see happening over & over.

Yeah, and this guy has been throw into the national spotlight, without asking for it. This was just street corner USA before the anti-American idiots decided to dishonor the dead victims of 911 by trashing the neighborhood memorial.

Seems to me, if this is true, the city of La Habra would have waited a few weeks, and very quietly get his attention and asked him for their offensive taxes and fees.

Man if this is true, they are asking for another mountain of negative publicity. If this is true, this city will regret any negative actions they take against this guy. I would bet the rent....

Look the local scoop is that the local teen at the La Habra High are laughing there asses off that they wont be touched

Why did the cop they let this happen the first time and do nothing

Why did the kids come back later bragging that they would not be touched?

They also say they are going to trash it again ..

There a group of local Vietnam Vets now guarding the memorial 24/7 (and that per the OC Registry)

Most wise buyers would only purchase a business property, IF and ONLY IF they can get the Conditional Use Permit, for their intended type of business.

So this guy bought the property on the PRESUMPTION that he could get a permit, for his intended type of business.

If the city's general plan doesn't allow his type of business, he could fail to get the permit. I am a real estate broker, and I have seen it happen. That is why you purchase the property, ONLY if you get the CUP (Conditional Use Permit).

Absent the above-mentioned-sequence, many property owners practice businesses, without permits. They are in effect wagering they'll "get away with it." This guy has failed to get business license(s) as well as CUPs.

It is coincidence, that he is getting the publicity over the Patriotism 9/11/2001 displays, and over the permit issues.

I read the article, and it is clear that there is NO RETALIATION. I'm not defending the police, the property owner, or the other city departments. Just giving an objective analysis.

I think there are more than a few watching this, some at a distance, yet close enough to see.....And the woman that trashed it, was 19 years old...Not a kid in high school. If she isn't laying real low, I would be surprised.

I think the vets should get word out, and make it loud and clear, that any attempt by these punk-aft kids to re-enter the property and vandalize the memorial will result in those kids finding out just how touchable they really are, if you catch my drift ;)
