I tried . . . I got this:
. . .and so it goes . . .
My "pirate name" is "Dirty Mary Flint". I like it. Echoes of Mary Read, one of my favorite pirates. "If he had fought like a man, he need not have been hanged like a dog." (or was that Anne Bonney?)
Pyle is THE original Pirate Artist, although Wyeth's style is the more sophisticated and to my mind more effective.
"Who shall be Captain?" (Pyle)
"Blind Pew" (Wyeth, from Treasure Island)

OH MAN! Wouldn't I love to have a video tape of us voting "Yes" on that resolution.
Politics makes great theatre. And watching the European "Powers" and their friends in the Third World trying to figure out what country is picking up their next lunch tab would be priceless.

The following was forwarded via an email to me today:
Until the U.N. get's their heads out of their arses (Libya leading Human Rights? GET US OUT NOW!) we have no reason to even negotiate with this band of proto-communist criminals. Toss them out of New York too. But watch those hidden cards up their sleeve ... if they kick out the U.S., and later readmit us as a new member, then they can put Bill Clinton in charge in 2006, something their bylaws prohibit now ... can't you see it coming? King Kommie Klinton. Be prepared to pre-empt it with legislation in 2003 or 2004.

Here's a 1983 quote to the U.N. by Charles Lichtenstein (during the KAL mess, when the UN was threatening to pull out of the US): "We will put no impediment in your way. The members of the U.S. mission will be down st the dockside waving you a fond farewell as you sail off into the sunset."
Works for me.

I'd second that motion!

In junior high, we studied "Treasure Island" for about six weeks. I'd sit in study hall and draw sketches just for me based on the book.
I attended Jr. High in South Dakota - a top notch education in TOM DASCHLE'S STATE! What went wrong? LOL
There's a pirate for ye. Daschle is a traitor and I hope our brave soldiers from SD vote for his opponent in 2004.
Apparently, TOM DASCHLE, the French, the Germans and Coffee Cake Anon don't realize that talk is cheap - real cheap. It won't make U.S. irrelevant. PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN. Floriduh Voter

Check out this web site and ping your pals if you like it. It's a great resource for Americans including Iraq info.

You could do a lot worse than studying Stevenson. The man was a writer of superior talent, yet at the same time could spin a yarn that would captivate folks who otherwise don't care for reading.
Blind Pew flailing in the cold moonlight, falling under the hooves of the horses on the road . . . and the wickedness of him laid out so plainly, yet you still felt sorry for him and his horrible death -- cold shivers! And of course Silver - Stevenson said that he painted him from a friend, taking away all his goodness and nobility, and leaving only his incredible, expansive geniality. (I really don't think that Tim Curry did him justice -- not to mention that whenever I see him in a "serious" movie role I giggle. Be sure the sins of your youth will find you out.)

I would encourage our president to liberate the American people from the grasps of world socialism as embodied by the UN.
Free US first!
Then throw them all out.

The best thing that could ever happen, we leave, we quit paying those blow hards salary's, our taxes go down, the scum of the earth is no longer heard and we get cheaper oil. George W. Bush may be the smartest man alive.
