PARARESCUE

A pararescueman attached to the 410th Air Expeditionary Wing picks up his helmet before boarding a C-130 for a static jump from 800 feet at an undisclosed location in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Pararescue's mission is the recovery of downed aircrew members and or isolated personnel. Using a C-130 to jump in provides pararecue the fastest way to get to the distressed and provide them with medical attention, protection, and survival. U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Jeremy T. THANK YOU, Kathy, for the AWESOME pics of our Heroes! Come to think of it, with all the stuff I read and see at our Canteen and FR in general, I don't even bother picking up the newspaper at all.
