~The Canteen's 'Very Own'~
Friends, I'm sure most of you have seen the news and can draw the obvious conclusion. Things are heating up out here rather quickly now. I am sure that my connections may be cut off at any moment now and I wanted to get one last email out to everyone beforehand. There will be several challenges to be met in the next few days and coming weeks; some of them are for the military as a whole, and some of them are closer to me and my ship. We have trained for this very moment and we are prepared for what may happen. The support from the home front has been outstanding, from my loving wife, my family, my shipmates ashore, and my new FRiends from the USO Canteen. That means more than you know. Well, I'll sign off for now while I can. Watch the news (Fox News Channel that is!) and you will have a good idea of what's going down. Take care everyone,
Brian I didn't post his entire email, just what I thought he would want me to share. Brian sent the expanded version to his family and his email buds and I just thought I should post some of it here for the 'Canteeners' as he is so fond of calling us. I also want to remind folks that although email may be suspended at times, for a time, our folks will be able to receive e-mail, snail mail and packages. May God Protect Brian and his shipmates and hurry them home to his family and FRiends.
