Washington will have one policy for the rest of Europe, another policy for Germany and Russia and a third policy especially for France. If we are not now, we should be hard at work penetrating French intelligence services. I wouldn't put it past the French to covertly aid Iraq in some way during this war, simply because of damaged pride.
Ollie North alleged today that the word on the Arab street is that French Intelligence is busy helping the Ba'thists destroy all records of France's recent involvement in Saddam's weapons programs.
Many fear Iraq will torch it's petroleum infrastructure but I suggest that it's business records will be the bigger bonfire.
