Republican lawmakers railed against Sen. Tom Daschle Tuesday after the Senate minority leader said that President Bush's diplomatic failures had forced the United States to go to war with Iraq.

"I was disappointed to see Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle's comments regarding the upcoming military action in Iraq," House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill., said in a statement. "Those comments may not undermine the president as he leads us into war, and they may not give comfort to our adversaries, but they come mighty close."

First Senator Daschle. I not only find it repulsive but downright dishonest and very two-faced the remark you made about diplomacy and President Bushs failure.
I realize you are an elected Senator from South Dakota and certainly are entitled to your opinion but so am I and I am here to give mine.
I started to call you sir but that would be something in my opinion you are no entitled to be addressed by and for the lack of a real deserving title I will call you Tom.
I personally feel what you said was repulsive and downright demeaning but I can say coming from you I really wouldnt expect any better. It suits your charming personality and wit to a tee.
The part I find two faced is coming from you and your party after the last 8 years if we were on the bottom of the ocean we would be on a higher plain than you all have been.
I wonder where you were on the diplomacy and security issue while your bosom buddy and all of Congress was dismantling our armed forces and security in this country and all the while raising taxes to their highest level since WW2?
Where were you when TWA 800 was blown from the sky and Clinton and Comrades were covering it up to the point of having people arrested who could have proven who did it.
Where were you and your diplomacy on the Balkans and in Somalia? Where were you when the USS Cole was attacked?Where were you and where have you been since the first attack on the WTC in 1993?How did you all sleep through that to the point of even allowing them to come back and finish the job Tom Daschle.
I guess you all were busy helping your wives and family lobby your Buddy boy Congress people and adding all that pork for your buddies to the spending bills ever year.
Tom Daschle, there is enough blame to go around to all parties and unfortunately it is always the average American that pays the price and gets screwed. But if you were in my face and had the nerve to say what you said after what you and your likes have been guilty of I would spit in you face.
Unfortunately it appears you have become the epitome of the Washington crowd. I guess it just rubs off on you after so long,uh!

"I think Sen. Daschle clearly articulated the French position," said Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., referring to French opposition to war. "This is uncalled for, I hope he retracts it."

Did it earlier today; go to it. Contrast what Daschle said in '98 when Clinton signed the Iraqi Liberation Act which endorsed regime change: Daschle in '98: "Look, we have exhausted virtually all our diplomatic effort to get the Iraqis to comply with their own agreements and with international law. Given that, what other option is there but to force them to do so? The answer is, we don't have another option. We have got to force them to comply, and we are doing so militarily."

And what is Daschle saying now? Daschle says that he’s “.. saddened that this president failed so miserably at diplomacy that we’re now forced to go to war.” Daschle goes even further. He is getting on the bandwagon early to lay the blame squarely at the feet of George Bush for any fatalities American troops may suffer. Daschle doesn’t blame Hussein for failing to live up to his agreement to disarm. He blames Bush for responding to Hussein’s failures and threats.

I don't usually get irate at the idiosy of our representatives, but this half-wit finally torqued me off. I sent a strong message of discontent and encourage others to do so also. FNC is reporting that reaction against Daschle is growing.

It is "brazen and political" for a party chairman to be responding to a national security issue with "with such divisive and political language," responded Daschle spokesman Jay Carson.

LOL! That's rich! If you accuse dasshole of being devisive, then you are being divisive.

I like your brevity. My comments, Under Military/Defense are summarized: I hardly feel an insignificant worm, such as yourself, warrants all the attention.

Dasshole suffers from a malady known to afflict many on the left. The mental health professionals refer to this condition as SDS or 'small-johnson-syndrome.

"Is Tom Daschle the official Democrat hatchet-man or just a taxpayer-funded pundit?" asked House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, R-Texas. "Fermez la bouche, Monsieur Daschle."

Translated (according to FoxNews): Shut up, Mr. Daschle.

In Great Britain the "opposition" party votes with the government. In America the "opposition" party goes to the press and lambasts the president. Take a lesson from Great Britian, Daschle.

That man is not just a "partisan hack".

Daschle is a small, vile, despicable man that disgraces his party and this great nation every time he opens his bile filled mouth.

The man reeks evil.
