![]() Tart with no heart ... cartoon of Chirac and Saddam in Sun special |
We took copies of a French edition of our newspaper labelling Chirac as Saddam Husseins whore.
Describing his actions as those of a Paris harlot, The Sun argued he was as big a threat to the civilised world as Iraqs tyrant.
Sadly but predictably, the poor, misled French people backed their spineless president to the hilt.
On a sunny Champs Elysées, student Angelique Roulois, 18, nearly choked on her baguette when she saw our headline.
She said: Its not Chirac who threatens world peace. It is Bush. We are proud of our president.
Her friend Emilie Lamotte, 19, said: All Chirac is doing is protecting us. You English have no one to protect you. If I were English I would be very scared.
Another student, Angelique Bienassis, 19, said: You cannot call Chirac a harlot. That is so offensive to the French people. Whatever his faults he is our protector.
The front page of our special featured pictures of Saddam and Chirac and read:
One is a corrupt bully who is risking the lives of our troops. He is sneering at Britain, destroying democracy and endangering world peace. The other is Saddam Hussein.
On the back page was an open letter to the people of France. It began:
Here is another message for you from The Sun newspaper in London, which is read by ten million British people every day.
Yesterday, your Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin made an official complaint to Britain about strong language used in the British Parliament to condemn Frances betrayal of the international community over Iraq.
The whole civilised world, not just Britain, is disgusted with the way Frances president and politicians have behaved over Iraq.
Last month we accused Chirac of behaving like a worm. Today we say to the people of France: We did not go far enough. Your president is not just a worm. He has behaved like a Paris harlot.
Vincent Bouis, 32, was shocked at our display of good old British contempt for the French president.
He screamed: This is violent and destructive language.
As we quaked in our boots he went on: Why attack Chirac just because he doesnt agree with you. The French people are 100 per cent behind him.
Thats something they have in common with Saddam then ...
Our mission to remind the French that their nation is becoming more and more isolated had begun before dawn.
We drove from the printers through the seedy back streets of Paris to leave thousands of copies at Metro stations.
Our boys in the Gulf can be reassured that The Sun will always fight their battles back home.
Meanwhile Le Worm Chirac may have slithered away but he cant go to ground.
When we found him in Paris yesterday he was remarkably co-operative ...
As we flung our paper at him, he generously let us tuck it behind his spotless lapel.
But, then again, we were just talking to his dummy at Pariss main waxwork museum.
Mind you, the displays there are desperately in need of updating.
Where else could you see Chirac cheerily smiling beside beaming George Bush and Tony Blair.
Those happy days are gone forever, thanks to turncoat Chirac, the slimy tart with no heart.
TONY BLAIR had a huge bust-up with Jacques Chirac last night over an astonishing bid to scupper EU condemnation of Saddam Hussein.
The pair clashed after the French President vetoed a powerful attack on the Iraqi tyrant.
Chirac even objected to a line in the statement declaring that the EU wants Saddams full and effective disarmament.
Stunned Mr Blair, at the meeting with Foreign Secretary Jack Straw, was backed by Spain and Austria who insisted the line should be kept in.
A Government source said: There seems to be no limit the French will go to to avoid mentioning disarmament of Saddam.
The other leaders were gobsmacked that he is apparently bending over backwards to dilute everything.
The PM and Chirac crossed swords in Brussels at a meeting for 15 EU leaders at the European Council of Ministers HQ.
It was the first time the two had come face to face since the French President tried to block Britains efforts to disarm Iraq.
Earlier, Chirac had been exposed as Saddams EU marketing man when new figures revealed that France exported £130m of goods to Iraq in the first half of last year, more than any other EU country.
The official added: It was clear that France is generally out of line.
Back, JacquesTHAT slippery snake Jacques Chirac warns the war will have serious long-term consequences.
Too right. Serious for him.
The French government has been exposed as cynical and mercenary.
When Chirac says the UN must be in charge of rebuilding Iraq after the war, what he really means is this:
Hell try every trick in the book to make sure France gets a big share of the contracts.
Hes off his chump.
France has stuck a knife into Tony Blair and George Bush and given it several nasty twists.
Chirac has shown he hates America and despises Britain. There can be no going back now.
As I say, sometimes one must love the Sun. They're a merry lot of pranksters. ;)

The French are ostensibly a democracy. So that not only means their leader is disgusting, the support they show for him means the electorate that put him there is vile and disgusting too. So in truth, the French are more despicable than the Iraqis.

I don't think it's necessary from that angle, love. They're already the best selling tabloid in the UK.
Part of it has to be motivated by their sense of humour, which in this case I appreciate. :)
Love, Ivan
"They want power without responsibility. The perogative of the harlot throught out the ages" Stanley Baldwin, British PM
"Good G-d, that's done it. He's lost us the tarts' vote" Edward William Spenser Cavendish MP

If this Iraq skirmish ends quckly maybe we can try some of that "Shock and Awe" stuff on France. I'm sure we could get in the Guiness Book of World Records for forcing the quickest surrender in history. |

Your logic is inescapable. And a great deal of fun to repeat.
