In Umm Qasr, Iraqi soldiers surrendering

I notice the American troops, in these photos, treating the Iraqis with dignity and respect as they process them for temporary confinement until the Iraqi Leadership, or what's left of it, decides to quit this madness and give up this moronic, inhumane and criminal venture to destroy Iraq and the Iraqi people rather than give up their arsenal of weapons of mass destruction. I hope and pray that they are not allowed to slink silently into the night.

Great pics as usual, Diogenesis! Thanks for sharing.

I found myself wondering yesterday (and even remarked about it on FR) why we hadn't knocked out Iraqi television's brodcast ability since they're still airing Saddam propaganda. Then it occurred to me that when we get to Bagdad in force, we'll want to use that broadcast ability ourselves to calm nerves and assure the Iraqi people that they are free and Saddam is no more. Got to admit, we're doing this the smart way!
