A tough rebuke of Chrétien, But I must concur. His inability to ignore the popularity polls will guaratee his place in history among all who think it's neccessary to conduct a poll in order to see where the people need to be led. A leader leads and others follow, a lesson that spineless worms like Chrétien and Bill Clinton will unfortunately have to learn when the history books are written.

Well put! While every other nation on earth picked sides, Chretien sat on the fence, holding an emergency dicsussion on the governments stance on the war only once it had already started and it was too late to do anything anyways. Oh, and then they had the gall not to even show up for the parliament session. How people can continue to give him a free-pass is beyond me.
