NATO says there will be no division of Kosovo | 19:23 | Beta

PRISTINA -- Tuesday – Jamie Shea, Head of the NATO Information Office, said today in Pristina that NATO would allow neither the return of Serb forces to Kosovo nor the division of the province.

Shea, visiting Pristina to mark the fourth anniversary of NATO’s bombing campaign of Yugoslavia, told students of the Pristina University that NATO’s wish is to establish a permanent peace in Kosovo.

He assessed that the current situation in the province was much improved from four years ago but that improvements were still required and international military troops would not be withdrawn from Kosovo until full peace has been established.

Shea emphasised that Kosovo’s final status could only be discussed once the current Kosovo administration has proved to be of European standard, that it is capable of managing the economy, fighting organised crime and providing all citizens with safety.

and when Djindjic tried to get the Serbs back someone blew him away too.

We can always blame the mafia. Any Serb leaders calling for the return of Serb troops and or the division of Kosovo lately?

We can always blame the mafia.

Those amongst us who are sane and base our view of the world on actual events will, don't worry.

The Serbian Interior Ministry said this evening that the results of the ballistic tests unambiguously prove that Jovanovic fired the shots that killed Serbian Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic.source.

You're a joke, Destro.

...results of the ballistic tests unambiguously prove that Jovanovic fired the shots ...

A ballistic test may identify the weapon, but I doubt it could identify who pulled the trigger.

Must be the same tests NATO used at Racak!

/sarcasm>

You appear to be referring to the non-specific paraffin tests used by the Serbs and Byelorussians at Racak - the Finns, who are not a member of NATO, btw, used a more precise method and it didn't support the Serbian government's position on the matter when the results came in.

Sorry - yer looking clueless again.

Shea is a fool. They should divide Kosovo. It's the only realistic solution I can see that would prevent more ethnic conflict.

Ustashe and Chetniks both suck.

Yup, those very same paraffin tests that apparently are so "non-specific" and useless that they were issued to the British Army while patrolling the Kosovo border.

Apparently you didn't learn your lesson the last time we went through this.

Go back to the thread of the last time and re-read it.

Your memory is faulty, Bob. The specific test trumps the non-specific test.

Funny isn't it.

Albanians can kill the majority Serb population during the WWII genocide. Move in. Then sixty years later have the entire region given completely over to them and be given the new name of "Kosovars."

Like I have always said "kill all Serbs and Jews,... everybody else does."

Ustashe and Chetniks both suck.

I can see what you mean by the Ustashe sucking. I find nothing in their ideology that is of any redeaming value at all. However, I find the Chetniks to be of a more ambiguous lot. During WW2 there were many factions of Chetniks that stood for just causes and fought for the values of the Allies, and there were factions of Chetniks that were just as repulsive in both ideology and action as the Ustashe. My grandfather was an American soldier and eyewitnessed some of their scorched earth policies.

Now these people that called themselves "Chetniks" during the recent wars have pretty much tarnished the Chetnik name for eternity. Too many of these idiots in Krajina and Bosnia were as bad as the Ustashe.

Having that Nazi-like bastard, Sesejl, as their leader didn't help the Chetnik cause either. The good Chetniks of WW2 that are still around in America were disgusted to have his name associated with them. Draza Mihailovic must have been rolling over in his grave.

I agree. It was Seselij and his specific bunch and those like them that I meant to say sucked. I didn't necessariliy meant ALL Chetnicks, just the bad ones like that son-of-a-b**ch Seselij.

By the way, I haven't heard anything from ol' Superfooldumb lately. Is he still around?
