Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.

I think most people are taking a pause. I am dialing down a little this week-end myself. You can not simply watch 15 hours of war coverage a day for 10 days without needing a break.
I think that once the news becomes more new... than "explosions in Bagdad"... the threads will pick back up their volume.

On the page where you type your reply, there's a "To" field at the top of the page. Just put in the names and use semi-colons to seperate them. That'll ping those names to the thread.

One day soon, we're going to turn our TV's and some U.S. reporter is going to do his stand-up right there in that intersection, broadcasting from Free Baghdad. You KNOW they'll do it. We should write CBS and tell them to be sure to find and interview these guys.

I suspect there is a way to have an updateable list that can be referenced, so that the cut and paste doesn't exceed the clipboard size. Probably easier to edit, too.
