Personally (and I don't like him much either), I think that it was on purpose that he revealed information that may have compromised the missions. But perhaps, it is a ploy to lure the enemy to listen to him more, thus utilizing the misinformation aspect of Jerry's position.

IE: If they'll listen to him, why not use him to mislead the enemy for our victory?

Maybe they can't find a country that will accept Geraldo. There might be a limit on the amount of ego a person can import into a country without violating some trade agreement.

They showed the 101st Airborne's message scrawled on the wall of the former Baath Party headquarters building.

Below the slogan "Saddam is in your hearts" (in Arabic) they had written "and our foot is up your ass" (in plain English).

As Paul Begala might put it, "Stroke of the pen, law of the land. Kinda cool!"

Something was up Saddm's butt

It said "and our foot is in your ass". I hate to say it but at the moment I'm more interested in whether Geraldo leaves than whether Saddam does.

This is all about NBC wanting to deflect attention from the Arnett firing. And it has, though I'm not sure its helping. Its like a deliberate misinformation campaign hoping that if they say it enough it will be true.

He's a goofball, but I'm supporting him.

When he made the public statement that the war in Iraq was "the most righteous mission ever undertaken", I was beginning to see proof of his conversion. At least I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I still think Geraldo would be smart to challange Saddam. Both of their demises have been under question. Geraldo gets Fox to put him on at the Baath HQ holding today's Baghdad News and challenges Saddam to do the same on Al-Jezeera.

I don't think "conversion" is the issue here. The guy is a threat, the 101st wanted him gone, and the FOX people thought they knew better than the field ops. I'm not sure that fidelity to the cause is enough here - he's giving away secrets and doing even more damage than Arnett. We can't have our guys put at risk because Geraldo wants to look like a cowboy. He should hitch a ride with Arnett.
