Right after we went into Afganistan, Vedder shaved his head in support for the Taliban that were taken to Gitmo because their human rights were "violated". That topic is off limits to any interviewer or they will not grant the interview. True story.

I recall that Gary Cheron (sp?), former singer for Extreme and Van Halen, challenged Vedder to a public debate on abortion. A couple of times, actually, after Vedder made some dumb comment in Rolling Stone relating why he supports abortion. Vedder never responded to Cheron's challenge.
