Saddam would be afforded due process in a legal courtroom setting, but this is a war, and as the commander in chief for the Iraqi forces, he is a legitimate target.
Scott has his head up his clymer on this one...

Guessing he's claiming that the tapes of him raping children are fabricated. Saddam has to have had something on him.
He probably also is claiming that coalition forces will be bogged down in a quagmire of policing actions.

Trust me, as the wife of a retired Marine....there are a lot who could and probably would rip him a new one if they knew they wouldn't get in trouble for it. Ritter apparently had some fun with Saddam's son molesting young girls or something while he was an 'inspector'. He disgusts me to no end!! and there are few people who are that repulsive to me.

I'm not a regular CNBC viewer, but I did recognize Gloria Borger as one of the two people who questioned Ritter. His answers hardly matter because he was spinning like a top, but they asked good questions. He's a good talker, if you pay attention to how he looks rather than what he actually says.
No matter the question, Ritter responded with boasts about his knowledge, experience, and oh yes, his Marine background. He looked uncomfortable when they asked follow-ups, and they did, but Ritter is still full of bluster.
And just for the record...change of subject....I'm watching Martin Savage on CNN. He reminds viewers of his unit's final battle on the campus of Baghdad University, which was ongoing as the first statue of Saddam fell in central Baghdad. Savage says the military has found so many weapons, so many rocket launching pick up trucks, and so much ammunition on the campus, that the military isn't sure how they will dispose of it all.
Baghdad U = Baghdad BOOM!
But of course, there will be no media outrage. So what if Saddam had turned a university campus into a deadly arsenal.

Hell yes the FBI should be watching him
This guy needs "Enemy of the State" treatment.
For those who missed that wonderful movie, I am talking about directional bugs in his shoes, belt, pants...
Especially the pants. ;-)

Ritter making lots of money on the college circuit.
We have much to fear from what is going on in the colleges and universities in America.

Re: Children's Prisons:
Actually I'm not going to describe what I saw there because what I saw was so horrible that it can be used by those who would want to promote war with Iraq, and right now I'm waging peace.
Waging peace--at any price. He didn't want the torture of innocent children, something I believe even Hitler and Stalin didn't engage in, to get in the way of appeasement.
Ritter has resigned from the human race. I'm surprised there wasn't more reaction to this statement when he made it (September 2002). Probably because no one reads Time Magazine, an affiliate of CNN, the Cowardly News Network, any more.

FREEPERMANIA
Published: 2/5/2001 Author: TLBSHOW
Many since the election have become freepers to this web site. They stay here all day. Like a kid at Christmas "Just one more refresh, please one more" the FR says.
I will say with all honesty a Revival is coming to America as not seen since the 1800's. It's called freepermania. People everywhere will want to try it. It will be in the newspapers, tv, internet, all around the world people will be talking about the freepers at FreeRepublic.com. You thought the British invasion, the Beatles invasion or Teletubbies invasion were something. Wait till the world wakes up to the freeper's invasion and homegrown no less.
I know everyone is ready for their 15 minutes of fame. Like Nick Danger and the others to follow. This fame will change the American People for years to come.
Freepermania is coming, and you can say you heard it first here. Even if you don't want it it is coming. Reminds me of ebay. It kinda became a pop legend overnight. You could see the rumblings and then it hit and hard. Freepermania is coming you can feel it. You know it's going to hit hard. Be ready.

Is saying that if WMD are not found, the U.S. is guilty of a 'war of aggression,' comparing Bush with Hitler.
